Taking Control of Your Health Today

I would like to welcome you to the very first post of the Monaco Life Check Center (MLCC) blog.

At MLCC, our number one concern is your health and to demonstrate to you that you have the power to take control of your own health.

When I say take control of your health, just what exactly am I speaking about?

In order to answer that question, I would like to ask all of you another question: How many of you readers are truly aware of your actual current state of health? Do you know if you are presently at risk for having heart disease, for developing cancer or for developing any other disease or condition that will affect your life and how long you live? Have you ever had a true medical check-up?

There are many easy answers to these crucial questions. My mission is to help all of you obtain these answers.

At Monaco Life Check Center, we perform the most modern and advanced preventive medical health checkups using sophisticated and safe diagnostic scanning equipment and detailed and specific blood tests. This check up is known as the Total Body Scan (TBS). This examination is a safe and relatively fast procedure which takes just over 1 hour. The goal of the TBS is to tell you exactly how healthy the organs of your body are (or aren’t!), including the heart, lungs, brain, arteries, abdominal organs, breasts, prostate, female organs, and colon. All of our methods are truly preventive in nature because once we make the health assessment, we then give expert but simple advice as to how one can improve their state of health. For certain diseases and health conditions, such as coronary artery disease of the heart (the number one cause of heart attack), we can even tell people how they can improve their health and to even reverse the course of nature.

The advice that we give is based on true evidence that we obtain from the detailed Total Body Scan check-up. In other words, this is true evidence based medicine, which is potentially much more accurate than a routine and traditional check-up examination based on basic blood tests and on clinical medicine that has been practiced for many years.

I will post regularly on this blog site to keep you advised of any recent updates in the world of preventive medicine and advanced medical diagnostics. Of course I realize that not all of you may have easy access to a state of the heart health check-up diagnostic facility such as we do at MLCC in Monaco and in Moscow. However, there is so much relevant information that I can pass-on to you about specific relatively simple measures that you can take now in order to live a healthier life, to promote a situation of healthier aging of your body, and even to help you live a longer life that you otherwise would have without being aware of these measures and lifestyle changes.

Stated otherwise, you can gain control of your own health situation by using fairly simple but proven methods to improve your health. The goal is to live a longer more productive and healthier life. We call this Life Extension through True Medical Prevention.

Please join here regularly to explore this fascinating world of medical prevention check-ups and advanced medical diagnosis.

And please remember: Just because you feel fine now, it does not mean that you are necessarily healthy.

Preventive Total Body Scanning

Dr Michael McNamara

do-you-know-how-healthy-you-really-are

The Monte Carlo LifeCheck specialises in providing advance notice of impending ailments, illnesses and diseases by using hi-tech Total Body Scanning & Imaging technologies.

You can see the full range of scanning options we offer at MCLC on the right.

Without any invasive or embarrassing examinations you can obtain a total understanding of your current health & warnings of any issues which may be present or upcoming if identified by our expert medical staff.

The Total Body Scan provides a complete picture of your whole body. During this examination the vital organs and blood vessels are examined. In order to obtain the best possible picture of your body, we also recommend the extensive laboratory blood test which will be initiated at the same time as your scan.

Preventative Total body scanning is an ultra-advanced cancer detection & monitoring method. This comprehensive health assessment technique enables us to offer early tumour detection examinations in conjunction with tumour screening.

Total body scanning also includes the head, thus allowing for the early detection of any pathological changes in the brain, as well as the neck, chest cavity, and abdominal organs such as the liver and kidneys. In the interest of detecting cancer at an optimally early stage, during the total body scan we also check the pelvic organs such as the bladder and prostate, as well as the seminal vesicles, uterus, and ovaries.

Examinations and assessments of the joints, muscles and other soft tissues are included in the total body scan procedure. Total body scans have been made possible by a series of technological advances, thus allowing us to visualise the entire body from inside using high-tech magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

The Total Body Scan is an ideal screening method for preventive care as it provides you with a reliable status report on your current health.

MRI Scans

MRI scanning technology has progressed significantly in recent years. In the last decade, a newer generation of scanners has been developed which produce excellent-quality images, allowing physicians more opportunities to treat and diagnose patients in a less-invasive, highly accurate manner.

Magnetic strength: the strength of the magnet is a key element to MRI scanning. The stronger the magnet, the better the image quality will be. The high-field scanners (3 Tesla magnets) are generally regarded as the most modern MRI magnet available today.

Most modern, high-field magnets are now designed with Short Bore Tunnels and, theoretically, maintain the highest image quality while causing less claustrophobia and are more easily tolerated by patients who are unable to lie still for a prolonged time. The high-field units (1.5 Tesla or greater) obtain images much faster, thus decreasing patient discomfort if laying still for a long period of time is difficult. Since less time is required, claustrophobic patients are better able to tolerate the scanning process, as well.

MRI scans have taken a considerable amount of guesswork out of medicine as they can give very accurate anatomic detail that can be used to plan a surgical approach, identify a potential problem, track the progress of treatment, or accurately diagnose a condition. Coronary Artery Disease (CAD)

Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) is by far the leading cause of death in our society today. Hundreds of thousands of new heart attacks will occur this year alone in Europe.

CADMore individuals will die from heart disease than from any other cause. CAD is the leading cause of death worldwide. Most individuals with coronary artery disease show no evidence of disease for decades as the disease progresses before the first onset of symptoms, often a "sudden" heart attack, finally arises. A majority of these will occur in individuals who had no previous history of heart disease and actually never had any symptom before presenting with their first heart attack. It is also estimated that up to one third of patients presenting with their first heart attack will die nearly instantaneously.
